The Second Celestial War is upon us - raging everywhere we go,
invisible but deadly. Those running this war are called Angels
and Demons, the archetypes of Good and Evil. The Demons, forces
of evil, have gained a foothold in the everyday lives of humans
and the Angels do all they can to drive them off. While these
creatures of legend and power can not unleash their anger toward
each other in the open, as the destruction would serve neither
side, they use their human allies and even inhuman, creatures of
myth and legend that actually do exist, as their tools of war.
Welcome to Dextra Dei dear roleplayers. We have built a mixed world
of celestials, mundane humans and supernatural creatures of power.
The basis for our MUSH comes from World Of Darkness and in fact it is
possible to play some of the WOD spheres here(for example; Vampires).
There are some differences compared to the White Wolf World Of Darkness,
since we made the necessary changes that were needed in order to implement
the celestial character class into play. Although we are hoping to grow
a good mortal population - after all, what's a war without tools? -
we know that most of the player will want to play a celestial.
Do not get me wrong here, this MUSH is
not about raging war in the
streets. It's about creative roleplaying with a character class that
many people haven't gotten the pleasure of playing yet, the celestials.
The Second Celestial War or the Second War Between Heaven and Hell is
just the main theme that ties the aggressions between the Angels and
Demons together. It doesn't mean you have to kill every Angel/Demon you
meet, just that you won't like the opposing side much.
At Dextra Dei, You have the possibility to play a powerful
character, maybe an Angel or a Demon or perhaps you would prefer to play a
Vampire. You can also play one of the most meaningful characters in the
game, a normal human. Playing a celestial will not be easy for anyone,
because of the power they have right in their fingertips - it is easy to
abuse by accident. I would like everyone who wants to play a celestial to
think of it as a new challenge, learning how to RP new angles. If you
think playing a celestial here will be challenging, try playing a normal
human. It might not be as exciting as playing a celestial then again it
might even be more exciting, since one bullet or one punch can kill you.
If the time comes to fight. Every MUSH Wizard will tell you that in a WOD
MUSH, the normal humans are the core of the game and are needed even more
than the supers. How can there be a masquerade or a veil if there isn't
anyone to hide from? Having to hide from NPC humans is an option for a
time, but it does get boring soon enough. The celestial angle brings even
more tension to the mortal scene, if the existence of celestials slowly
comes to the attention of the mortal character her life will be changed
forever. This gives a chance for players that play mortal characters to
awaken from a state of boredom if they get tired of being out of the real
action all the time.
