As eons passed the small groups of Celestials needed to increase their numbers and so they gave rise to the Second Ones; a new generation of Celestials with reduced power, but enabling wider scope. The Second ones were told how they came into being - though these 'truths' were not always the same when seen from different perspectives.

This is the story of the plane in which the planet we call earth resides. The physical plane. This plane is fairly typical in that it is linked to several other planes (Astral, Umbral, Dreamscape and Celestial). Throughout human history, sightings of Celestials have led to various human beliefs - calling them Angels or Demons, depending upon their activity at the time. What makes the story of this plane so interesting is the fact that a million or so years ago another group of Celestials 'invaded' demanding part control - due to the loss/destruction of their own planes. They brought with them the few creatures that they could - twisted, abnormal creatures. At least by the standards of our plane.

This is where the story becomes confusing, so we shall use human terms. The native Celestials shall be called Angels, and these invading Celestials, Demons. The demons seeded the planes with their creatures, covertly at first, making immense gains before the Angels were alerted to the invasion. The Umbra was quickly infested with Demon spawn and was lost to the Angels, as was the Dreamscape. The Angels maintained their hold on the Physical Plane with neither side operating within the Astral.

In a stunning tactical move the Angels gave up part of the Celestial plane and at the same time littered the Dreamscape with their own creatures (unicorns and other mythological creatures, that can now only be found there). The battle became stagnant in all planes but one, where it was fought the strongest - The Physical plane.
